More about the Arts at ACA

Midsummer Nights dream - Shakespeare

Midsummer Nights dream - Shakespeare

ACA takes great pride in instilling an appreciation for the Arts.  We support the Trivium by providing electives in Band, Shakespeare, Visual Arts and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) education.

We encourage students to "think outside the box" while empowering them to reach their fullest potential.  The Arts are a very important part of curriculum from the beginning of the Grammar Stage and follow students throughout their academic education at ACA.

As students participate in the many facets of art, they discover themselves and gain confidence to prepare them for adulthood.  ACA doesn't just prepare students to go into the world, we prepare students to go into the world ready to answer God's calling and serve His greater purpose, sharing their talents in all capacities.

STEAM ahead with DraftEngine

Appomattox Christian Academy supports Draft Engine (DE), a program for students in Central Virginia dedicated to teaching young men and women about the industrious use of creativity. Students are taught through the methodology of STEAM (the combination of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math).  Students experience drafting, CAD, Laser Cutting, 3-D printing - preparing them through hands on application for marketable industry skills necessary for today's technology and the challenges of tomorrow's technology.
